Translating Research Into Better Learning — for Educators, Students, and EdTech Professionals

Professional Development

Hi, I’m Megan Byers — a STEM educator, learning designer, and EdTech professional who is passionate about building learning experiences that are both pedagogically grounded and human-centered. My background blends educational innovation, instructional design, and technology, and my career revolves around exploring how people learn, what motivates them, and how digital tools can support meaningful growth.

I created this space to bridge three worlds I care deeply about:

1. STEM Teaching & Learning

I support new and aspiring STEM instructors in building confidence, clarity, and classroom presence — rooted in evidence-based practices.

2. Learning Science & Educational Research

I read widely in learning science, EdTech design, and STEM education, and I love translating complex research into practical insights that can be implemented in the classroom or in online learning experiences.

3. EdTech Product Thinking

As I transition into product management, I’ll be sharing how learning science, user needs, and instructional design can shape better EdTech products and more meaningful learner experiences.

InstructSTEM is a professional development initiative supporting STEM educators through practical, pedagogically grounded resources. I believe strong teaching changes everything — and that small, well-designed interventions can make a big difference in the classroom.
